Environmental Specialist I and II (Full-time and Seasonal)

Two Dot Consulting (2Dot) is seeking dedicated, hardworking, enthusiastic individuals to fill a Full-time and Seasonal Environmental Specialist I and II position based out of Denver, CO. Work assignments will vary depending upon project types. The Candidate will need a mix of field and office experience, be comfortable with Arc GIS, have completed their Safeland-USA and H2S Training, and be living near Denver, CO.  The job requires fieldwork (walking in uneven terrain up to 8-12 miles a day with a 15-20lb. back-pack, working in inclement weather) and potential travel to CO, WY, ND, and UT.  

Candidates must have at least 1-3 years of experience and certain certifications and training may be necessary. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Good communication and writing
  • Travel up to 10 days (per diem and hotel provided)
  • Performing Wildlife, Raptor, and Migratory bird surveys using a range of bird sampling techniques including pedestrian transects and visual/auditory identification
  • Performing plant, habitat and threatened and endangered species surveys
  • Assisting with wetland delineations and mapping
  • Installing groundwater monitoring wells
  • Technical experience with Trimble and Garmin GPS units
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and goo driving record with the ability to drive 4x4 trucks off-road

    Senior Project Manager

    Two Dot Consulting (2Dot) is an interdisciplinary Environmental Consulting firm located in downtown Denver with 14 employees averaging 25 years or more experience. We focus on biology, technology, and cost saving measures for environmental planning, siting, permitting, and compliance services for various energy projects, land development, oil and gas fields, pipelines, water resources, electric transmission lines, mining, and other large-scale infrastructure projects.

    *Candidate should have no less than 10 years Project management experience and a detailed description of experience in resume.

    Project Management responsibilities:

    • Efforts associated with project management include but are not limited to: coordination with clients and agencies; project task scheduling; budgeting and invoicing; preparation of status reports; direction of interdisciplinary resource specialists at 2Dot and subconsultants, as needed.
    • Maintain project budgets and schedules; prepare work scopes, survey plans and budgets to support project proposals.
    • Travel to 2Dot offices (WY, CO, UT), project sites and project meetings on an as-needed basis.
    • Primary focus: manage projects and business development

    Marketing and Business Development responsibilities:

    • Marketing and business development include but are not limited to: biological services, environmental planning, permitting, and construction monitoring and compliance services in conjunction with other 2Dot staff including identification of business leads and proposal preparation. Specific assignments include:
    • Business development efforts to be focused Colorado, Wyoming, Utah.
    • Client markets to include, but not limited to: Wind, Solar, upstream and midstream oil and gas developers, reclamation, water resource management.
    • You will be required to have a good communication, coordinate field crews, conduct biological surveys, and prepare reports associated with environmental planning, permitting, GIS, and compliance monitoring services in support of oil and gas operations, water resource management, reclamation, and landman services.
    • Maintain project field work and schedules; assist with preparation of work scopes, survey plans, and budgets to support project proposals.
    • Travel to project sites, and project meetings on an as-needed basis.
